Head of Product and R&D at IAG Automotive, leading innovator in the aftermarket automotive industry specializing in performance and off-road vehicle segments. He drives product strategy and innovation to disrupt and elevate these dynamic markets. Previously, David served as Senior Vice President of Product Management and Innovation at Oregon Tool in Portland, Oregon. Before that, he held executive roles at Tupperware Brands Corporation, including Global Vice President of Innovation and Vice President of Worldwide Product Development, and honored as a Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). He also served as the most recent President of the World Design Organization (WDO), headquartered in Montreal. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Cranfield University (UK), a Master of Science in Management from Purdue University, an MBA from Tilburg University (Netherlands), a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University.

Professor of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Vice Chairman of the China Industrial Design Association, and Director of its Academic Committee. In 1984, he established China's first industrial design department, laying the theoretical foundation and teaching system for the discipline of industrial design in China. He has become a renowned academic leader in industrial design in China. His theoretical approaches, such as "Lifestyle Theory", "Symbiotic Aesthetics", and "Principles of Things", have exerted a guiding influence on the domestic and even international design community, shaping China's own design theoretical system.
