The Beijing Library Data Visualization System is an interactive platform designed for readers. Powered by an 18-meter-long, 3-meter-high giant digital screen that replaces traditional physical displays, the system serves as a vibrant interactive focal point in the library's welcome area, attracting visitors to explore the library's premium content and services.With versatile interaction modes for different scenarios, readers can control bionic architectural models in real time via touchscreen or tablet to easily access facility information, book collections, and real-time monitoring data. The design team blends data visualization with the library's natural aesthetics—interfaces feature nature-inspired elements and seasonal color palettes, including plant-shaped icons and stream-valley-style data panels. This fusion of functionality and artistry creates a new digital identity for the library, reigniting public interest in reading.This project adopts a centralized server room deployment model, based on the Alibaba Cloud DataV platform and powered by the self-developed CityV engine to achieve real-time rendering of digital twin scenarios. The hardware configuration includes large-scale physical screens and radar sensing devices to support dynamic data interaction. The design team employed tools such as Unreal Engine, C4D, 3D Max, AE, and Sketch to develop UI panels, 3D models, and motion effects, while integrating AIGC technology to enable visual effects such as day-night cycles, seasonal transitions, and festive themes. The ultra-wide screen fully displays data content, combining engaging interactions and branded design to allow users to effortlessly access high-quality information and services through simple yet entertaining screen interactions.The system enhances the utilization rate of library resources through digital services, replacing paper-based guides with cloud data to reduce paper waste, protect the ecological environment, and promote healthy and sustainable development. Its modular design extends display lifespan, while smart sensors optimize energy consumption for low-carbon operation, improving both product flexibility and user-friendliness. Through personalized algorithms, the system increases public cultural engagement while maintaining practical functions like reading navigation, embodying the humanistic principle of "Technology for Good."The design inspiration of this system originates from recreating people's beautiful memories of reading under trees, on lawns, and amidst nature. By fusing information technology with natural landscape elements, the interface incorporates the seasonal transitions of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The system binds multidimensional data to architectural models, allowing readers to explore highly realistic models of bionic valleys, terraced fields, streams, and ginkgo forests through touchscreen interactions. They can observe real-time information feedback from different library areas, including themed exhibition halls, book collections, lecture activities and special exhibitions, as well as environmental monitoring data like visitor flow, air quality, temperature and humidity.The system supports multiple interactive modes: readers can remotely switch and view screen content through tablet terminals. After selecting target modules on screen, the large display will trigger dynamic data scenarios supporting customizable themes and diverse scene switching. Readers may also directly approach the screen for close-up interactions, which will activate localized data pop-ups and dynamic feedback while supporting multi-user simultaneous operation. In standby mode, the screen automatically plays preset scripts, presenting vast dynamic data landscapes that blend technology with natural aesthetics, delivering functional yet artistic interactive experiences.This seamless integration of technology and nature not only revitalizes the library's digital image but also reignites people's interest in reading through immersive storytelling approaches.In terms of environmental sustainability, the system creates a diverse cultural digital space by regularly updating content themes and virtual data assets, reducing material and energy consumption. When no one is near the large screen, it adjusts brightness based on ambient lighting and plays dynamic visuals, minimizing excessive power usage and light pollution while seamlessly integrating with the underground space and lighting environment.
